Portland Head Light

I’m immeasurably blessed with some great friends. In addition to being charming and adventurous, they’re also downright ridiculously good-looking (and lucky for me, generally down to shoot).

Over Christmas, I was able to spend some time in the U.S. between my childhood home in Florida and what I’ve learned to call home in Massachusetts. Though Spain has been incredible, I was definitely in need of some familiar faces, quality time and TLC. For a friend’s birthday, we figured what better way to celebrate than with a mini Maine daytrip?

I love the sea. I love its power. I love that it sets a limit–which we definitely pushed. After admiring the coast from a safe distance, it wasn’t long before this group of daredevils ambled down the slippery rocks to get as close as we could. Gotta do it for the ‘gram, my friends.

What soon followed was some stunning sunlight and a beautiful shoot filled with memories I will not soon forget. Partially because I was mercilessly splashed by cold ocean spray. Partially because said ocean spray also splashed my camera. But mostly because I just couldn’t ask for a better shoot crew.

^^Squad goals.

Steph, Josh, Anna–thank you dearly for your friendship. I can’t wait to make even more memories like these!

Until next time,

Raquel ❤
